This sucks. The iPhone will come out later than expected, and no LTE. What are they doing?

That brown looks like little baby poop.
It's an improvement in the UI though. iCal needed an update big time.

Up to the point, RacerX...I am tired of these "security warnings" that carry little more than vaporware and a thirst for publicity and hacker-like "fame"...
If a kernel panic is a "serious issue", think again...and go Vista...and please, no market share arguments anymore...we have probably more than 50 million Apple users out there...I am sure a few hackers are still trying hard to make a virus in the wild for them.

Anyone who would pay for such a thing may be even more disturbed than she is.

you guys think Apple stock has dropped? Take a look at Google.... WOW.
Not sure what your point is, AAPL has done a LOT worse percentage-wise in the last few weeks than GOOG.
See http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=GOOG&t=3m&l=on&z=m&q=l&c=aapl and http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/print/print.asp?frames=0&time=4&freq=1&compidx=aaaaa%3A0&comp=goog&ma=0&maval=9&uf=0&lf=1&lf2=0&lf3=0&type=2&style=320&size=2&unused=0&o_symb=aapl&startdate=&enddate=&show=true&symb=aapl&draw.x=16&draw.y=17&default=true&backurl=%2Fadvchart%2Fframes%2Fmain%2Easp&prms=qcd&sid=609.

"Q on Mac Pro demand. A: Very positive reaction to Mac Pro. Still feel there is a delay in purchasing related to Creative Suite (Universal)"
They said the same thing about pro desktop sales when we were waiting on a carbon version from Adobe. Then, it was released and Pro sales didn't increase. Too bad you can't put Xeon in a MBP :P
I think this is different. Our company is not buying any Intel-based macs until Adobe releases Universal CS, and I don't know why anyone would spend $$ on new hardwre now only to take a performance hit, vs. a performance increase and better hardware bang for the buck by waiting 6-9 months.

Here's another way to slice it (literally). Flipped half the image. Left the guidelines on this one as well.

I agree that this is no substitute for measuring the actual phone, but, at least in that photo, they are identical. Certainly not off by 1mm as the original post states.
Everyone knows that black is always "slimming.":p;):D

Based on the verdict of the markets it would seem that Apple's potential is not so great...but you know better than that right ;)
I know better than to make to much of the market's verdict on any given week.

I'm not sure at what price point predatory pricing becomes an issue, but I would think that Amazon may have crossed that line.
Predatory pricing becomes an issue for Amazon after it dominates the market place and sets its prices significantly lower than the competition in an attempt to drive them out of business. So, let Amazon capture 70% or 80% more of the legal music download market and then maybe bring up predatory pricing.
If Amazon is selling music at a loss per song, then the FTC might have a say about that.
Has no one in this thread heard of a 'loss leader' before? Movie tickets at a theater? Loss leader. Gas from a gas station? Loss leader. Anything on sale (especially Black Friday)? Loss leader. iTunes Store? Yup, some loss leading going on there too.

"We would like to break even/make a little bit of money but it's not a money maker," he said, candidly.

When the conversation turned to rivals such as eTunes and Napster, Jobs said: "They don't make iPods, so they don't have a related business where they do [make money]".

iTunes' big studio deal announced yesterday? It's going to be an expensive one for Steve Jobs who's taking a loss on each film sold. Some terms from the WSJ: Apple (APPL) is paying $16 to the studios for each new release, and will sell the films to consumers for $14.99.

I hope I'm not the only one disappointed that you see an i7 in 3 out of the 4 MBPs, but i7 is only available for an extra $180 in the iMac.
The i5 2400 costs $150 @ MicroCenter, and that's the processor they use in the $2000 iMac!!! This is why people say Macs are overpriced (and they most certainly are). That having been said, I'll be buying an MBA or MBP 13 soon enough.
i7 in MBP is not equal to an i7 in an iMac

Sounds like the controls used in the alien spaceship in the movie "The Day The Earth Stood Still". Klatu would just wave his hands at the controls and things would happen.

Here is another screenshot, go use your assumption skills of what these things will do. Apparently support for IR remote, iSight, etc. I don't have my Windows cd to install right now, but I will later tonight. Otherwise, I have to actually start doing some work =/. More updates later in the day.
Looks like that toolbar is just listing USB devices to me. Doesn't mean any of those will actually work under VMWare. Is there a Windows driver for built in iSight or Apple IR?

If you want functionality, then go use Windows. Most Mac users are designers and the look of something is just as important as functionality. Steve Jobs may love the look of his day planner, that doesn't mean I have to be stuck with it.
You and the person you quoted imply that UI is not a part of the functionality.
Am I right?
