Well. I am about to buy an iPad myself. So I can't put that...

    How about a:
    1. Case for my soon to be iPad. :D
    http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31mGaAfcWpL._SS400_.jpg

    2. Probably a Dock too, if I don't buy it first.
    http://images.apple.com/ipad/accessories/images/accessories_ipaddock_20100225.jpg

    3. Hmm... I do NEED a better backup solution for my MacBook. And our WiFi router is doing so good right now. How about a 2Tb Time Capsule. :D
But this is more of the WISH of my Wish List.

    4. JEANS!! I need them. Really.

    5. Shirts? :D

    6. Oh. And THESE so I don't have to use my nose to control my iPhone in the winter. :D

    7. Sunglasses. But more importantly, they need to be prescription so I can actually SEE.

    8. Almost forgot! An iTunes card so I can buy some apps for my new iPad. :)

Is this too much? Yeah. But it's a wishlist, so who cares! :D

They are already out in the wild. How do I know? Read below :)

I was in a restaurant in the bay area earlier this week when a lady walked in to pick up her takeout. She was yakking on a white iPhone. I got a nice look at it from about 3-4 feet away. It wasn't a black iPhone with a white cover, it was clearly a white iPhone with no cover. Saw the silver Apple logo and the engravings very clearly. It did strike me as odd, but I haven't been tracking all-things-apple closely, so didn't know if the white iPhone was in the market or not.

And yes, it could be that the lady had paid mega bucks to get a custom white skin, but that honestly seems more far fetched.

You realise that it's been possible to buy the conversion kits to make your iPhone 4 white for over 6 months right?

I like what you have going on here. Great detail on the girl / hair too, bokeh is pleasing and vibrant. Epic shoot locale. Tell her to stand up straighter next time and I think it would be flawless. Fill light could go one notch down too.

I love this photo you know. Very good color harmony with the dress too!

Thanks. I need to warm up her skin tone as I made her too pale. The way she stands is the way she stands. She has poor posture, but next shoot I'll have her stand straight. As for the clothing, I wanted her to wear something to match the environment and I think it worked well.

Anyone with a clue knows these.

Still a significant blow to have the 'figure head' taken out regardless.

For PR reasons, yes, significant. As for combatting terrorism, if anything its going to cause blowback.

[QUOTE=rekahs]surely if you look at it that way the ipod is in the position the 360 is in and the zune is like the wii.

    QUOTE]

Except that the wii is being marketed on the basis that it will bring something innovative to the table. If there's one thing Microsoft doesn't understand, its innovation/ease of use/elegance.

All we need now is an iPhone worthy of Sprint's network.

    4.3" screen

    NO buttons

    etc. . . . . you know . . . an EVO that runs iOS.

Or, the app makers that I've been bugging for years can just port to Android, then I and many other would be happy campers.

Using Apple.com prices for comparison, current Mighty Mouse is $49 and Bluetooth Mouse is $59.

I would like to see the Bluetooth Mighty Mouse at $59 or even better a Bluetooth Keyboard and Mighty Mouse Combo for $99.

    that's at least 3 MX-1000 users we have that are well-satisfied :-)

Yeah, its rather like an Apple computer: it works and works well. Plus it has nifty little features and all.

When I first got my MBP, I think the software was not Universal, but they made it UB shortly afterwards, so I was using programmed buttons in no time. It really is easier than ctrl-click though sometimes I still do that out of recently developed instinct :)

For me 23-25" is not the sweet spot. I want something to rival or exceed my Dell 30" (2560x1600), so add a 32" Apple :-)

New Mini? I guess some time after the iMacs - the little guy has always been last in line - I'm guessing a year will pass since last refresh (June 2010) - I am hoping for SSD and i5-7, at least as BTO. Dedicated graphics or user replaceable HDD is probably only dreams...

No offense but customer service reps will say anything

Anyone who's had to phone any call-center in the last 10 years would surely know that if there's no chance of a sale being closed, CS reps will say whatever is needed to get you off their line.

Dollar rises upon death of Osama (http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20110502/ts_alt_afp/usattacksobamabinladenforex_20110502035027)

    Interesting, haha

Yeah, it's interesting that although they just anounced that like 3/4 of companies reporting profits and they expect markets to rise....now the morning headlines will be "Markets open higher on death of Bin Laden".

    AT&T=High prices (unlimited talk for $69.99 a month!).
Verizon=Can't talk and web at same time.
    T-Mobile=Do EVERYTHING FAST for a cheap price!!!:D

This will be great because I always wanted an iPhone on T-Mobile.:)

They should put 4G on the T-Mobile iPhone because 3G is just too old for a new phone.

    EDGE is just tooooooooooooooooooo slow.

Also possibly Mobile Hotspot may be included for FREE!!!:D

Plus Unlimited Data for like $10 a month!!!:D

Usually, when a new technology comes out from Apple like Thunderbolt, (mini display port in look a like), I usually think "Why would other "non" Apple manufactures like WD, Promise etc... adopt Thunderbolt? as USB 3.0 or eSATA is their bracket... where as Apple likes to keep to themselves only tailoring to their own devices (eg. using WDS (or extenting wireless via Airport Express), for example. is not possible unless you have Time Capsule (Apple) )

I guess I was wrong when I saw this one on MacRumors.

Theoretically, if all that 2 TB's of music was purchased from iTunes, then the files all already exist in the iTunes servers and it would cost them no additional storage space to stream them back to you. So it may well be possible.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what the official announcements are. I reserve any judgment until then.

chances are if someone has 2TB of music alone.....there is a problem there.

"The T-Mobile US network uses different frequencies than AT&T's, requiring different hardware to support."

It surprises me that it would need different hardware. I know that it is possible to jailbreak a AT&T phone to work with T-mobile. so apparently it can be done with software.

Could someone clarify this for me: Aren't hard drives too slow to make use of Thunderbolt anyway? In a typical USB 2.0 external hard drive, what is the bottleneck in speed: The speed at which the hard drive spins, or the USB 2.0 connection? If it's the USB, then why do people even care about the RPM of a drive? If it's the RPM, then isn't USB 2.0 fast enough to run a hard drive at its native speed?

    http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,2845,2173844,00.asp

The bottleneck is (or can be) USB 2.0. Most people who worry about RPM aren't buying hard drives to be placed in external USB drives. Internal drives run on the faster SATA interface. Also, RAID enclosures makes the difference even greater, as you can access data faster.

Apple certainly can design a phone that supports LTE, but getting good battery life out of it is another thing. This is an area of focus for Apple so they won't make compromises here.

And that's exactly what's wrong with Apple philosophy. Consumers make compromises, companies make profits. There are plenty of people who would compromise battery life for speed. Are you saying that Apple does not care about them? Because they believe that battery life is always more important? Obviously the real reason is different. They are just trying to maximize the profits in their own way (i.e. keeping the number of models to a minimum) and that's why smart consumer should chose Android. With Android one can pick the phone they need (not the phone Apple think is best). Different people have different needs and with Android one can find a phone with a set of compromises that fits them best.

What do you don't seem to understand is that most people would rather not have to keep swapping the battery in their phone throughout the day, nor should anyone have to. There is demand for LTE, yes, but 4 hours of battery life is not what i would call good. What good is your phone to you if the battery is dead? You may be fine with switching your battery twice a day, but i think the majority of us would rather have a phone that we know is reliable and wont die on us. Also, 3G is good enough for me for now, and I know I'm not alone. When LTE/3G hybrid chips are here, i will welcome it.

What do you don't seem to understand is that every individual person does not care what most people need/want. I want to be able to buy the phone I need. If you go with what "most people" need it would be a dumb phone then (with great battery life BTW)

Copying someone else stuff isn't competing. It's a strategy, but as business strategy targeting the iPod market, it's practically a non-starter as many potential "competitors" (including Microsoft) have already found out. DRM seems to be more of an issue with some tech journals than with the general public. Tens of millions of iPods have been sold, and the iTunes music store is well on it's way to posting another billion songs sold milestone. The anti-DRM arguments don't seem to be resonating in those numbers.

At this point, I don't see anyone else mounting a formidable run at the iPod market, unless they can come with something truly unique, something smart, something that just reeks of must-have desirability and not just like the iPod has now, but even more so. That's what's at stake. So does Microsoft have the answer? Not apparently. Since Ballmer already envisions five years or so of less than stellar expectations before it's even out in front of the public, what does that tell you about Microsoft's "Zune?"

Already handicapping your yet-to-be released product just isn't a good sign.

Ha ha... when I glanced at the RSS feed I thought it said "Page 3 Features?". I thought: "Why the heck would MacRumors add a 'Page 3'? Much of the 'Page 1' stuff never comes to pass, and they've got 'Page 2' for the even less substantiated stuff..."

    :p
